This is my dress from Special Occasion Wear class at TAFE.
Our team consisted of ~Mistress-K, Carley (model), Kako (makeup artist) and myself. I have to say, we made a pretty awesome team! ^_^
CORSET: Outer: green - micro suede, brown - silk dupion, beige - satin back crepe which I smocked using a North American smocking technique called 'lattice" and the black is heavyweight delustered satin which I hand appliqued on top.
Core: Stiffened linen which has been fused with a medium weight woven fusible interfacing. Each panel has a piece of rigaline boning sewn down the centre (for a total of 10), then a layer of fusible Wadding. Then each sewn seam has spiral steel boning with the centre back opening having 2 lines of spiral steel boning (for a total of 10) and busk opening at centre front.
Lining and binding: anti-static delustered satin polyester lining.
Eyelets/Closure: 5m of black braiding for the centre back closure. Eyelets done at Button Mania.
BUSTLE: Outer: 100% silk dupion. Under structure has been fused. A small amount of netting has been inserted into the pouf to hold it's shape with a lightweight open end zip opening which is hidden by the pouf.
JEWELRY: Went hunting to find old watch parts. Ended up opening an old wall clock I found at an antique shop. The lady there gave me the little watch key for free. ^^ Drew up a very dodgy drawing of what I wanted and Wendy showed her mum who magically deciphered what I wanted and came up with something beautiful and quite unique.

Congrats once again Chibi chan!
I was just thinking, the colour scheme and the jewelery is kind of steam-punk.
